A different way to experience the world.

This blog is about experiencing New York City, and other places, differently than what is customary. I’m recovering from a stroke I had on 4 November 2018 and view my travels around this city, and probably others, from the point of view of having a temporary disability, recovering from the stroke, and having fun doing it.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone have a stroke or a traumatic brain injury, but since my stroke I have had experiences and met people I never would have otherwise. It’s a good new life. This blog explores some of the ways in which I am embracing this new life.

This is part travelogue, part look at the built environment, part thinking about how my life has changed, and part inviting others to contribute who I meet on the road.

Join me as I explore on foot, on public transportation, on three wheels, and eventually on two wheels.

Onward!
